Vericonomy Wallet

The unified desktop wallet for the Binary Chain is currently in active development. Soon you will manage Verium and VeriCoin in one place — mine Verium and stake VeriCoin from a single app.

Installation

Qt wallet setup

Verium and VeriCoin ship as separate full-node Qt wallets today — the same Bitcoin Core-style flow: download, encrypt, sync, back up, then mine or stake. A unified Vericonomy desktop app is still in development.

Your keys, your coins

These wallets are self-custodial. Back up wallet.dat and your passphrase — no one can recover lost keys for you.

Verium Qt

Full node · solo CPU mining

  1. 1

    Download and launch

Grab the Verium Qt build for your platform from the downloads above. Extract the archive, then run verium-qt (or the Windows/macOS app bundle). On first launch the wallet creates its data directory and starts the embedded node.
  2. 2

    Encrypt and set a passphrase

Go to Settings → Encrypt Wallet and choose a strong passphrase. This encrypts wallet.dat on disk. The daemon may restart once — reopen the wallet when prompted.
  3. 3

    Sync or bootstrap the chain

Leave the wallet open until it catches up to the network (progress appears in the status bar). To speed up a fresh install, use File → Reload Blockchain or download a bootstrap snapshot from files.vericonomy.com/vrm/bootstrap. Solo mining and RPC work best once the chain is fully synced.
  4. 4

    Back up your wallet

Use File → Backup Wallet and store the .dat file offline. Anyone with your wallet file and passphrase controls your VRM — there is no recovery service.
  5. 5

    Mine VRM (solo)

On the Overview screen, use the mining control to start CPU mining inside the wallet (unlock the wallet first). For more threads or pool mining, use veriumMiner against your local RPC or the public stratum endpoint.

VeriCoin Qt

Full node · Proof-of-Stake-Time

  1. 1

    Download and launch

Install the VeriCoin Qt wallet for your OS from the downloads above. Open the app — it runs a full node locally and creates a receiving address you can copy from the Receive tab.
  2. 2

    Encrypt and set a passphrase

Choose Settings → Encrypt Wallet before holding meaningful balances. Pick a passphrase you will remember; it is required to send coins and to stake.
  3. 3

    Sync or bootstrap the chain

First sync can take hours as the wallet validates history. Optional bootstrap archives are listed at files.vericonomy.com/vrc/bootstrap. Staking stays inactive until the chain is caught up and peers are connected.
  4. 4

    Back up your wallet

File → Backup Wallet saves an encrypted copy of wallet.dat. Store backups on removable media or another machine — not in cloud email.
  5. 5

    Stake VRC

With VRC in your wallet, unlock for staking only from the Overview screen and leave the wallet online. Coins must mature (~8 hours) before they contribute. See the staking guide for PoST details.

Mobile wallets

A dedicated mobile experience is part of the Vericonomy roadmap. For now, use the Verium or VeriCoin Qt desktop wallets to hold, mine, and stake.

What's next?

With a wallet installed, you can start mining Verium or staking VeriCoin right away.
